The Edge of Equilibrium weaves a dialogue of many voices, rather than making a fixed statement, and offers a wide picture of art communities, alternative land-based, low-impact ways of living, which address issues and dilemmas relevant for an epochal renovation.
How should we live on this planet? The pandemic crisis has crystallized a physiological need for society. Can we lead fulfilling lives whilst sustaining the environment on which we depend for our wellbeing and sustenance? We explore in constellations the topic of polyphonic forms of communities and individuals; we project a vision aimed at developing humus for creating non-mainstream communities and continuing to build radical ecological and artistic trajectories. We put a focus on a number of communities and individuals, who are quietly building and exploring alternative land-based, relevant artistic practices, participatory collaborative projects, non-profit spaces, culture activism in dialogue with the natural environment, with the Native community, the indigenous people, using materials and climatic creative energy, expanding an edge and asking for institutions to address these issues.
