Willy Verginer. The lost garden

Volume published on the occasion of the exhibition The lost garden. Purgatory and Anthropocene of Willy Verginer (Bressanone – BZ, 1957) at the Church of San Barnaba in Bondo, Municipality of Sella Giudicarie (TN), from 15 July to 28 August 2022.

The empty space of a baroque church dedicated to the Cypriot saint Barnabas, Willy Verginer's sculptural poetics and the theme of the Garden of Eden in Divine Comedy they meet and open a dialogue in the present. A metaphorical climb to the Garden of Eden on top of Dante's Purgatory, for a surprising landing in the presence of the great lament of our terrestrial garden.
