[…] The ready made object e, moreover, the recovery and reuse of non-artistic materials, taken from other contexts and freely reworked, they allow us to open up new possibilities for aesthetic narration, making the weft and warp of a fabric of events valuable, actions, events, situations that amplify and enhance the ultimate meaning of the work of art… […]. Following this premise we observe how Alessio Barchitta acts on the material with a predetermined intentionality, functional not only to reabsorb what is "forgotten" and "dispersed" in the environment - taking charge of both what is considered and thought of as "waste" and "waste", and other substances whose representative energy is peculiar to him - but also to concatenate new events that, from their previous memory (their story), they open up to the eventuality of the moment of vision, awakening memories in the memory of the observer.
