Published on the occasion of the exhibition “ILARIA GASPARRONI. UNMADE”, edited by Livia Savorelli, 22 September – 23 October 2020, GAGLIARDI E DOMKE, Turin.
«The title of the exhibition is UNMADE (incomplete, undone) and corresponds to the vision of today's man who lives in a chaotic and value-less reality, which acts with the sole perspective of breaking down all the beautiful things around us such as nature, the cosmos and the human being himself; it becomes essential to go back in memory to the memories of our childhood and thus rediscover our purity ".
The young sculptor from Abruzzo presents five new works, some made in full lockdown, that reflect the inadequacy of a way of experiencing the beauty of the world and the inability of men to activate those simple and fundamental mechanisms aimed at its safeguard. Five narratives - a hymn to life and the care of everything that surrounds us - that unfold in the ideal stage of the gallery where the actors are the spectators themselves. Gasparroni invites, in fact, to immerse yourself in them, tickling one's memory and experience and letting oneself be guided by the emotions generated by contemplation.
An invitation to listen, of oneself and of others, in a renewed - very fundamental - balance between Humanity and Nature, always remembering to be guests and not masters.
