In a path that indissolubly combines the works with the intense biography of the artist, the galleria AreaB of Milan presents from 19 January to 19 March 2022 the exhibition Nado Canuti. The long flight.
Curated by Alessandra Redaelli, the solo show collects a corpus of about fifteen works - including marble sculptures, brass and bronze, installations and collages - by the Sienese sculptor.
Starting from an anthological focus dedicated to the first sculptural works produced between the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties, he arrives at unpublished and more recent works, such as collages, large mobile sculptures on top or hanging from the ceiling and wall works in which the painting - of an almost monochromatic setting - is contaminated in mixed techniques conceived as bas-reliefs.
Nado Canuti (1929) and today, at the age of 92 years, a character capable of radiating enthusiasm and energy, elements always present in his artistic message.
The narrative is the basis of his work, stories that seem to continue from one work to another, also through the choice of materials. The recurring theme of the dream remains in his works, within which we move in a world where the impossible becomes possible.
