Robert Pan's art originates from the concreteness of art, from his being profound manual skills linked to an interior planning, spiritual. The long elaboration of the works brings out even more the depth of the works, a sensation of encroachment is felt in front of the layers of resins that emerge by subtraction in a point-like form. Rightly there has been talk of the works of the last ones 4-5 years of "Constellations" because the immediate impression linked to the color and its softness, it is illuminated by cosmic memories, of images of expanding galaxies, something that has a memory both in science and in the childhood imagination. There is no coldness in these works and there could never be in Robert Pan's work because his research is rigorous and controlled but during the development of the work, during that continuous excavation of the layers of resins and metals, it happens that the development of an idea is continually confronted with the emotional excavation work: almost an archeology of matter and color.
