Catalog published on the occasion of the Nocivelli Prize contemporary art competition 2021; it contains the collection of all the finalist works and a section dedicated to the winners of this 13th edition.
The Nocivelli Prize is a contemporary art competition organized by the Techne Cultural Association created in 2009 from the family of Luigi Nocivelli, to give continuity, thanks above all to promotion and dissemination activities, to his passion for Italian art and culture.
In addition to the support of the Lombardy Region, of the Province of Brescia and the Municipalities of Brescia and Verolanuova (BS), over the years, the Techne Cultural Association has established partnerships with important institutions in the world of art such as the Santa Giulia Academy of Fine Arts, the Ugo Da Como Foundation, the Brescian Artists Association, the Province of Brescia Eventi Foundation and Palazzo Monti all committed to promoting and encouraging culture.
The competition has an annual deadline and artists can submit their photographic works, painting and sculpture via this site from January to mid-June, indicatively. The awards ceremony takes place in September at the Lina and Angelo Nocivelli Park in Verolanuova (BS) and start a series of exhibitions dedicated to the artists of the Nocivelli Prize.
In addition to the exhibition of the finalists, the Nocivelli Award also promotes the show of winners, dedicated to 9 winners of the Nocivelli Prize and the winner of the Luigi Cup, in collaboration with the Province of Brescia Events Foundation, which this year will be inaugurated on Friday 26 November 2021 At Martinengo Cesaresco Novarino Palace a Brescia.
The collective exhibition takes place according to the personal criterion, one per artist, for a total of 10 which occupy the different rooms of the prestigious building. The aesthetic cut of the event follows a multidisciplinary approach, in line with the Nocivelli Award, open to the genres of painting, photography, sculpture and their possible contaminations that can give rise to real environmental installations, not without recourse to works of video art or real films. To get specifically, we will have paintings, as in the case of Francesco Battistello, Mehrnoosh Roshanaei and of Iulia Ghita, the latter marked by a spatial vocation that occupies large environmental portions. In the genre of sculpture, divided between ready-made and manipulated technology, I'm Stefano Ferrari, Marco Gobbi, Lorenzo Scarpellini and Daniele Zoico while in the photograph, with its tangents in the social and territorial investigation, with repercussions on performance, operate Simone Cametti, Ivana Lorusso and Aisha Gianna Müller.
