The Same Sky

Catalog of the collective exhibition The Same Sky dedicated to the artists Pablo Atchugarry, Keita Miyazaki, Dagobert Rodriguez, Yuken Teruya and presented by Civiero Art Gallery at the “R. Hawks " | Palace of the Park of Diano Marina (IM) from 23 March to 4 May 2024.

“[…] Geography, in artistic matters as well as in cultural and political ones, is fundamental: two artists are Japanese (Keita Miyazaki e Yuken Teruya) and two Latinos (Cuban Dagoberto Rodríguez, Uruguayan Pablo Atchugarry). In all cases we proceed by contrasts; rebirth imposes itself as an inevitable reaction process and the signs of lightness, of ascension and purification also feed on the inevitable gray areas that accompany history. There is a further element of extreme relevance, in the work of the four, a technical value that arises from the study and composition of matter and materials: a sort of dutiful harmony of doing, a manual operation, conducted within the limits imposed by modeling and painting, with fragile and defenseless materials, organic and malleable. The resistant and poetic dimension of time is thus felt in all four, the director that governs the flourishing of forms […]”.
