His pictorial cycles can be divided into two expressive lines: intimate events, set in interior spaces, and public stories, set in outdoor landscapes. In both cases we are catapulted in front of a frame, a frozen frame of what is certainly the film - or video - of a story that includes a before and an after. In this case the titles seem more like those of a drama than of a painting: even the most iconic ones […] they force us to look better at what the artist has painted, to find out which asymmetry links the image to the (possible) story indicated by the word.
