Monographic volume dedicated to the artist Carla Iacono (Genoa, 4 April 1960)
“When I thought about the title of this monograph which contains the Virtual exhibition catalog central to Carla Iacono's work to date, retracing the main stages of research and the transversality of the media through which it is crossed - from photography to collage, from design to installation, until arriving at the artist's book - the title Keeper of secret voices it appeared like a bolt of lightning, originating from a common creative urgency: intuition on the one hand, underlying the Iacono trial, which originates from a short circuit – which can arise from the emotion deriving from a look or a memory, from an event or a fragment of the artist's life, from a film or a book harbingers of a vision – e, on the other, the narrative that develops from it and translates into a stratified representation both in the symbology as in meaning, amplified by the chosen representation mode (because as she herself reminds us, the medium it is anything but a neutral tool).
The element Fantastic and fairytale it's an important one leitmotif in the artist's work, instrument through which it apparently subtracts weight from drama of the present, analyzing the difficulties of existence through another perspective, based on aanalyses so much intimacy how much of a strong imprint socio-psychoanalytic.” (edited by Livia Savorelli)
