Ester Negretti. Essence and Matter

«[…] Ester Negretti insists on his being a painter and is not afraid or intimidated by what he is doing. He paints without feeling the weight of history, without thinking of the risk of appearing as a given, banale o, worse empty. He paints thinking about the story as a basis, just as the stable foundation on which to build his poetic take over without leaving an exasperated quotations. An essential support, then, that of history, but that does not allow to condition and never fully determine the structure of his language and his personality. Painting for her is a constant challenge, a liberating act directed to grant the eyes emancipation from the oppressive relationship with the real environment that often constrains, o sopprime, the charge of natural liberty.
Ester Negretti cleave painting overloading matter, of substance and color that recall the original dimension of life; establishing that works as signs of sincerity and spontaneity of instinctive feel that too often we forget rationally or would like to have a dominant control. […]»
