Banking System (Bank in Corso Monforte, Milan), from 28 September to 31 December 2017, hosts ATTRACTIONS, personal exhibition of Adua Martina Rosarno (Cinquefrondi, 1990), young Calabrian artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, winner of the Arteam Cup award 2016 Under category 30. The exhibition is organized and promoted as part of the non-profit project Banking ART SYSTEM.
The personal exhibition of Adua Martina Rosarno, consisting of about thirty unpublished works, plus the one awarded in the under section 30 at Arteam Cup 2016, reveals the suggestions deposited in his work, every attraction, sensitive, is a point of tangency, meeting, it is creative humus absorbed in the pictorial imagination.
You go into his works by bringing yourself, we move between one painting and another as in a journey in which sensible and imaginative experience merge and in which the various fragments give life to a map in which we instinctively enter. The shades, mostly cold, they suggest liquid or ethereal areas, of water and air, where our bodies breathe coolness and a sense of freedom. His paintings remind us of landscapes, places to cross and take a bird's eye view, exploring the surfaces, going into it and bouncing around, observing the chromatic variations and following the various directions of the weft and the textures inserted here and there with manual expertise. The seams, that intersect with the painted canvas, they carry with them the memory and experience handed down by female generations, creating a link between the artist's land of origin, Calabria, and the various places crossed and swallowed, be they physical or mental. Each intervention has the flavor of writing in a travel notebook, of notes kept in memory and reread by meditation. His paintings are therefore interior and remembrance places, imbued with experience and introspection.
