Monographic volume dedicated to the artist Anna Matola.
[…] But what is Anna Matola's favorite material? It is the clay, whose choice would seem almost obvious, having lived in Albissola Marina since 2006. but yet, and despite the frequentation and exchange of ideas with at least two masters working in the world of ceramics, our artist does not also profess to be a "ceramist", a role that she considers inadequate for herself. If on one hand, in fact, this material has always made her feel at ease, as if it were perfectly natural to her, on the other hand, her work needs did not lead her to deepen the many technical / aesthetic areas that ceramic making potentially includes. The right land, the engobes, glass coatings when appropriate, They "serve" to make the sculptures, that is, the real protagonists of the research, the concrete vehicles of a creative soul that stimulates the observer leaving him anything but indifferent.
