Banca Sistema hosts “STARS”, personal exhibition of Michela Picchi (Rome, 1987), young artist and illustrator who on this occasion exhibits her first pictorial works.

Michela Picchi's expressive figure is characterized by images that blend fantastic visions and everyday life with a pop illustrative style, immediate and distinctly recognizable. In the visionary microcosm of his works, bright colors and some subjects recur in particular, like the tiger his alter-ego, little women or visual patterns.
In “STARS”, edited by Rossella Farinotti, in addition to these reference figures of his artistic career, Michela Picchi exhibits works specially created for this occasion during a residency in the United States at the Cleveland Foundation. Indeed, the staff welcomes you, even temporally, the "return" of the artist to Italy with a new body of work entirely on canvas characterized by a pictorial style with full colors and a strong visual impact. The exhibition therefore offers a complete cycle of both graphic works - prints and serigraphs that refer to the most well-known themes of Michela Picchi- both pictorial, which are presented to the public for the first time.
Banking System, as usual, accomplish a catalog of the exhibition in Italian and English, published and distributed with Vanillaedizioni.

Michela Picchi's personal exhibition is organized and promoted within the non-profit Banca SISTEMA ARTE project (bancasistemarte.it), born in 2011 by the will of Banking System to support and promote emerging talent in the artistic and cultural fields, offering young Italian artists opportunities for visibility, in a logic of support that aims to facilitate their entry into the art market.
Biography of Michela Picchi (Rome, 1987)
Michela Picchi's work practice is expressed through different disciplines. The artist lives and works in Berlin. He studied at the IED in Rome. From its base in Germany, produces creative ideas and collaborates with brands that belong to different sectors (art, graphics, Fashion, street). His inspirations take up collage and visual illustrations, to transform them with his personal style, recognizable and sophisticated. Everything is experimental for her, and its production takes up the relationship between everyday life, his real experiences, and his visions. This real/visionary combination represents the works he creates. He has collaborated with brands such as Fendi, Nike, Pull & Bear, Converse, Vice, BG Berlin, Bosco Berlin, American Express, Girl Effect e Avaaz.
