Mona Lisa Tina

Visual artist and art therapist, Mona Lisa Tina lives and works in Bologna. Born in Francavilla Fontana (BR) in 1977, she graduated in 2005 in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and specialized in 2012 in Art Therapy at Art Therapy Italiana.

He is a teacher and educational coordinator of the three-year course in art therapy at LE NUOVE ARTI TERAPIE, director Oliviero Rossi, Visual and Performing Arts address held in Bologna, Florence, Rome and Milan.

Mona Lisa Tina places the Body as a place of continuous psychic and physical transformative processes at the center of all her reflections. Within the performative actions it promotes a symbolic dimension of self-awareness and a real re-appropriation of identity. The artist intends to propose an "alternative" physicality, that frees itself from standardized beauty models, exhibiting it as an open symbolic space and vehicle for significant communications on multiple reading levels.

He has exhibited in museums in Italy and abroad, and in contemporary art galleries and research spaces. He conducts seminars and workshops on the fundamental aspects of his artistic investigation, as well as having edited and taken part in many publications which have as their object the expressive language of Performance and the centrality of the body.
