Daniela Forcella
With a past as a refined collector, he forms and perfects his own style at the drawing courses of the master and artist Italo Chiodi at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, immediately expressing a strong inclination towards Pop Art and in particular to the theme of "repetition". His first works, a multitude of hearts in polychrome resins suspended on the carcasses of old mattress bases, closed in large transparent cases, they are so charged with symbolic power that the New York critic Alan Jones defines her as the "queen of hearts" in one of his speeches, assimilating the heart to the supermarket products celebrated by Andy Warhol.
He participates with one of his works on the occasion of the inauguration of the first museum of Italian design, the Triennale Design Museum, espone ad Art Basel (CH) and the Design District of Miami, Florida (USA). It is permanently present at the Vertical Museum of Palazzo Lombardia in the Lombardy Region in Milan, exhibits at the San Giorgio Gallery in Palazzo Gargantini in Lugano (CH), presents a solo exhibition at the Villa Reale in Monza (IT) and the Palazzo d'Artista, permanent art collection of Banca Mediolanum Private Banking headquarters in Padua.
In 2017, after a year of intense research and recovery of more intimate themes, at the invitation of the curators Arch.Gisella Gellini and Mario Agrifoglio participates in the exhibition Black Light Art Milano: the light that colors the dark organized under the patronage of the Design School of the Milan Polytechnic and the Brera Academy at Palazzo Lombardia, exhibition space of the Lombardy Region in Milan, with the work The Traveller. The emotional power of the work, also amplified by the large size in which it is made, produces such public consensus that Daniela Forcella is chosen to present the entire cycle in the exhibition Cartography, edited by Viviana Lavinia Algiers, to 57a Venice Biennale 2017 set up in the Armenian Pavilion at Palazzo Zenobio, Temanza Library and Loggia Venice, Headquarters of the Armenian Culture Studies and Documentation Center.
In 2018 the monograph is out Daniela Forcella - Travelling, edited by Viviana Lavinia Algiers, published by Peruzzo Industrie Grafiche. The volume, for its editorial characteristics, was selected a Book Object, 3° International Artist and Design Book Festival, promoted by the Pinacoteca di Brera, Braidense National Library, Santa Teresa Media Library and AIAP with the patronage of MiBAC, Municipality of Milan and ADI. The demonstration, designed by Susanna Vallebona, visual communication designer, received the Honorable Mention at the Compasso d'Oro 2018.
In 2019 at the invitation of the creator and curator Tiziana Serretta, participate in the project Spirituality in the Material creating two large monoliths, the exhibition is presented on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2019. The project Spirituality in the Material, aligned with the UN Agenda 2030 aimed at a deeper awareness and social commitment to protect the environment, was presented by the curator and some selected artists, including Daniela Forcella, in the event Art for Social Awareness the 6 September 2019 at the United Nations headquarters (HIM) a New York City, USA. Several of the artist's works are part of private collections in Italy and abroad. Daniela Forcella lives and works in Milan.
