Antonio Marchetti Lamera
Antonio Marchetti Lamera, born in Bergamo in 1964, lives and works in Torre Pallavicina (BG). He attended the State Artistic High School of Bergamo e, afterwards, he graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 1986.
His research makes use exclusively of painting and drawing, which in his practice are the effective and punctual means to synthesize and recompose the images that come from the artist's endless photographic archive.
His painting is characterized by the use of a minimalist palette and an extreme liquidity of the sign, poetic and evocative at the same time.
Inaugurated his artistic career in the late eighties, in 2004 wins the first prize at the IV edition of the “Donato Frisia National Art Prize”, Merate, e al “B.ART 2004 - City of Busto Arsizio Painting Prize”.
